The New School Web Updated

Search Facility Added 

26 April 2004 -- The New School's website has been updated.  More-colorful graphics have been added along with several pictures of members of the School going about their various activities -- everything from a caterpillar and a pharaoh's head-dress to a "reading picnic."

The most practical change is the addition of a search page, which allows a visitor to search the text on the site to quickly find specific information.  The facility is supplied by Google. 

Another new feature is a Contents page, which gives an overview of the pages on the site, and allows one to quickly jump to any page on the site. 

The site has also been reorganized to allow easier navigation.  The main pages are accessible from the left-side navigation bar.  The top pages are accessible from the top bar on most pages.  The children of each page are also accessible from a new, right-side navigation bar.  This should make quick navigation easy and straight forward.

After several years of the same look, I hope that these changes will refresh and assist return visitors and will make the site more convenient to everyone, whether they have visited before or have fount The New School for the first time.
